We only link to products we think are genuinely useful for home gardeners. Earning a commission never changes which products we recommend, how we describe them, or the results of our calculators and planners.

Sponsored content
From time to time, we publish articles created in partnership with a brand. Sponsored posts are clearly labeled as sponsored at the top of the article, and we name the sponsor. We only accept sponsorships from brands whose products are relevant to our readers, and we keep editorial control over what we publish. A sponsor cannot pay for a positive review or ask us to change gardening advice.
Product reviews and recommendations
When we recommend a product, we explain why. If we received a product free of charge to review, we say so in the article. Our opinions are our own.
Advertising
We may show advertising on some pages in the future. Advertisers do not influence our content, and ads are kept visually separate from our articles and tools.
Our tools are never for sale
Our calculators, planners and identifiers use the same formulas and data for everyone. No brand can pay to change the results, appear as a recommended answer, or be placed inside a tool’s output.
